Achieve Your Ideal Shape with Breast Augmentation Surgery

Breast Reduction in Leeds

Breast augmentation is very popular across the world. There are various reasons why women undergo this operation which includes improving self-confidence, enhancing body contours or restoring volume following pregnancy or after losing weight.

Insertion of implants is done in breast augmentation with the aim of enhancing the breast size and shape. Breast Augmentation Surgery is an operation where implants are placed inside  (strictly speaking ‘behind’) breast tissue or under chest muscles (called ‘dual plane’) so as to improve the cup size; this is especially common after losing it from pregnancies or breastfeeding.

    Reasons for Considering Breast Augmentation

    1. Aesthetic Enhancement: Many women are drawn towards breast enlargement mainly because of their desire for improved physical appearance by making their breasts appear more balanced when compared to the rest of the body. This can make them feel better about themselves by raising their self-confidence about their body proportions compared to those ladies who consider their breasts too tiny for their physique.
    1. Restoring Breast Volume: A woman may lose a certain quantity of breast volume and experience sagging skin as a result of pregnancy, breastfeeding, weight loss, and older age. To restore lost volume and create a better breast form that looks younger, a woman can undergo this augmentation surgery with a carefully selected breast implant.
    1. Improving Symmetry: Breast Augmentation may also be used to make breast asymmetry better which refers to a case when one breast is much smaller or shaped differently from the other: they may utilise implants to improve balance and symmetry, sometimes with mastopexy or reduction type operations if required.

    The Breast Augmentation Procedure

Normally, breast enlargement surgery is performed under a general anaesthetic using an inpatient service with an overnight stay for safety and comfort. The choice of implant determines where incisions are made; these incisions may either be around areola, underneath the breast or in the armpit. Besides, insertion occurs with placement either in front of the pectoralis muscle (subglandular) or beneath it (submuscular or dual plane). The vast majority of implants are made from medical grade silicone and placed via the infra-mammary incision for greatest accuracy, low complications and scar concealment.

After having the implants placed, the incisions are closed with dissolvable sutures and dressings placed. Patients mostly leave for their homes the following morning and have a check-up a week later.

    Recovery and Results

After undergoing breast augmentation surgery, it is common for patients to experience a little discomfort, minor swelling, and sometimes localised bruising that will usually last for about two weeks. It is necessary that all patients abide by their doctor’s directive after surgery. Doing so will help them recover well and prevent risk of infection.

Patients tend to get instant change post-surgery. This transformation becomes more visible in the weeks after the surgery, when their breasts have settled and healed. Women feel better about themselves after undergoing surgery which helps in restructuring the shape of their breasts, making them look much better; patients often say it helps them improve issues of low self-esteem; this is because it makes them look good in their own eyes thus promoting a positive attitude towards personal body image and enhancing feelings of self-reliance.

To sum up, for women seeking a breast size enhancement, to restore volume and get a more perfect shape, breast implant surgery may be the best option. By consulting with a qualified breast specialist or plastic surgeon and exploring the different options offered, they can choose on the preferred choices for their different goals and lifestyle. Having Breast Augmentation Surgery can help you meet the best aesthetic goals and lifestyle. You will often have increased self-esteem by having breast enlargement with slight improvement to your body image for an extensive period.
